About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see what tomorrow brings...

ABOUT ME

Right after secondary school, I enrolled in university without an exact idea of what I wanted to study. I gravitated towards a business related career so I found myself applying for the business school at my university. After a couple years in university, I realized that I also wanted to try something more adventurous while still pursuing my degree. A year of planning and saving money has lead me to experience my first study abroad exchange in Aarhus, Denmark. I will be living in Denmark until the end of June.

I've met a variety of people from all over the world as a waitress at a resort in eastern Manitoba. I love to talk to people and learn from them. I've had the chance to travel around Italy, parts of Canada and a little bit of the United States. In Canada, I've been east to Jasper, British Columbia and west to Montreal, Quebec. In the United States, I've spent Christmas in Las Vegas where I also had the chance to drive up the California coast and through Zion National Park in Utah. I love to try new things, and challenge myself.

I am an easygoing person who is always open to new experiences.

Fact: I have an identical twin sister. She's both my best friend and toughest competitor!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On my exchange I hope to travel to different places in Europe, and meet some great people. I look forward to my first couch surfing experience as I begin planning some new adventures!

Interests

I love exploring the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, swimming and biking.

I absolutely love to take pictures of the things around me. Looking back at photos I have taken on past adventures, each one tells a different story that takes me back to that moment.

I love to smile!

After recovering from a knee injury, I play soccer in my spare time.

Plants and flowers always make my day. My room is full of plants I've collected from working at a local greenhouse.

I enjoy reading, drawing and cooking. I also like to be creative! I collect vintage clothes, jewelry, old suitcases and purses.

I've grown up with always having pets, including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, fish and a hamster. I also like all other types of animals, especially alpacas!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in Zion National Park, hiking far into the canyons alongside the one of the many creeks that runs through the park.

Climbed to the top of the Duomo in Florence, Italy and gondola ride in Venice, Italy.

The emotions I felt while saying good-bye to my family, especially my twin sister who I've never been apart from for more than 2 weeks in our entire lives, when I left for Denmark.
