About Me

Hey there, I'm Agustina! I'm a total extrovert who loves trying new things and going on adventures. I'm super open-minded and empathetic, always down to hear different points of view and understand where others are coming from. I'm all about positivity and catching the little details - I'm a total detail-oriented person!

I've got this knack for reading people and connecting with them on a deeper level. Being social is my jam, and I love making new friends wherever I go. I'm pretty smart and quick at solving problems - assertive and reliable when it comes to getting things done. But I also like to keep things interesting by being spontaneous and unpredictable, because who wants to be boring, right? And let's not forget, I'm always friendly and approachable, making sure everyone feels welcome around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on the Couchsurfing platform because I have a deep passion for connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I thrive on the excitement of learning new languages, exploring diverse cultures, and making meaningful connections with others. As a lover of travel and adventure, I see Couchsurfing as an incredible opportunity to not only explore the world but also to immerse myself in authentic local experiences. I believe in the power of community, kindness, and helping those in need, which aligns perfectly with the spirit of Couchsurfing. By opening up my home to travelers and sharing my knowledge of socials and my expertise on Buenos Aires and more cities with others, I hope to create unforgettable memories and foster genuine connections that transcend borders. Couchsurfing allows me to combine my love for exploring, learning, and giving back, making each hosting experience a unique and enriching journey for both me and my guests.

Interests

I absolutely love spending quality time with my friends, whether we're chilling out or going out dancing together. Making new friends is a total thrill for me, and organizing events where everyone can have a great time is my jam. Music is my constant companion, and I find joy in exploring different genres. Learning new languages and reading about various cultures excites me, making traveling an essential part of my life's adventures. Spending time with my family brings me warmth and connection, while investing in topics like social psychology and neuroscience keeps my mind engaged. I'm all about dancing, going on spontaneous adventures, and lending a helping hand to those in need, especially when it comes to volunteering at cat rescue homes. Each day is a blend of fun, learning, and making a positive impact on the world around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
I have always been fascinated by the complexities of the human mind, which is why I am drawn to books on psychology, neuroscience, psychiatry, social sciences, anthropology, and self-help. Authors like Patrick Süskind, Marian Rojas Estapé, and Gabriel Rolón captivate me with their ability to delve deep into the minds of characters and explore intricate psychological themes.

When it comes to music, my taste is eclectic, ranging from pop and rock from the '80s, '90s, and 2000s to classics like Queen and Elton John. I also enjoy modern artists like Dua Lipa, ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, some house or Indi music. Also cold play might me my fav band and of course I love Latin American musicians such as Emilia, Duki, and Maria Becerra. Reggaeton and melodic English music resonate with me the most, while I steer clear of Argentinean rock and metal.

In movies, I find myself gravitating towards romantic comedies, thrillers, and stories based on real life. Favorites like "You've Got Mail," "Notting Hill," and "What Women Want" showcase my love for heartwarming and humorous films. I also have a soft spot for Marvel movies and admire actors like Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Robert Downey jr, Diane Keaton, Robert Deniro and Adam Sandler for their compelling performances across genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am incredibly proud of the work I do in organizing international events with language exchange. Through these events, I have been able to create a space where people from different backgrounds come together, connect, and forge meaningful friendships. It brings me immense joy to see individuals, whether new to a city or feeling lonely due to a lack of close friends, find a sense of belonging and companionship at these gatherings. By fostering connections and facilitating interactions, I have played a role in combating loneliness and building a supportive community for others. Making a positive impact on people's lives through these events is truly fulfilling and something that I am passionate about continuing to do.
