I am originally from Porto Alegre (Brazil) but currently living in Dublin (Ireland) working with Global Brain Health Institute at Trinity College as a Fellow for Equity in Brain Health.
Well, I am a journalist and writer, and now I am studying of psychology. I published 5 books (all about Alzheimer, Dementia, aging, incurable diagnosis and death) for adults and children’s in Latin America, Brazil and Portugal.
My first book is was my greatest adventure, it’s called “Quem, eu?” (Who, me?) and tells my story becoming the father of my lovely grandma and best friend, diagnosed with Alzheimer disease when I was a teenager. In her last stage of life I left my company and studies to be with her, as a grandson and father, until the very end.
I love animals, traveling and meeting people around the world.
I speak a little bit of English and Spanish, but can also understand most of Italian. and Italian, But with goodwill we can communicate in any language! Hehe

Nothing better than meet a different place from the perspective of those who live there! The cuisine, how to talk, how to get to that right spots... everything is easier with the help of a local resident. And so we make good friends from all cultures!

Interesses

Learning about new cultures, try new accents, expand my horizons, meet beautiful places and make nice friends having a good drink and laughing a lot!

Honestly, everything could be great, it depends on the company and the day! But I am quite easygoing and it’s always possible to have a match between a wine or beer and any kind of movie, book or playlist! Love that.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

At 20’s I left my college and work to take care of my grandmother, diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It was six years looking after her along the disease.
She teaches everything I Know, and today I dedicate my full time to study dementia in order to mitigate the effect of Alzheimer’s around the world creating content and policy’s.
