About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get away from the tourist filled tents of Oktoberfest and really soak in the celebration with the locals

ABOUT ME

Being a full time student for the past seven years, traveling gets to be difficult. I love to travel (once a month) but have been couch surfing from friends of friends. I now want to venture to places where I don't know anyone and still get a feel for the local culture. I can't afford an extravagant trip but still need to travel the world while I can. I often travel solo, simply because my friends don't have the money to pay for the airfare. I love it this way, I can see what I want, when I want, and be social and meet new interesting people.

PHILOSOPHY

work hard, play harder.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

WHOA! I've been couch surfing for years! I didn't realize there was a site to help me do it! I just found friends of friends that lived in places I wanted to go! This is awesome!
I hosted all summer and fell in love with Minneapolis all over again. After a year break, I am planning on surfing my fifth continent!

Interests

Being active. I work out six days a week, play volleyball a couple nights a week, and run. I am developing into a distance runner. I love to travel (once a month) and school has kept me pretty interested. I am not a history buff but would like to change that. I also enjoy a good day shopping, eating well, and meeting new people and having conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 weeks in Juneau AK, alone. survival of the fittest. no food except three miles downtown, had to run the three miles to eat. Got to meet a ton of new people and even got invited to a wedding my first weekend in town. It made me realize that I can do things on my own. I met a new person every day. I got shown around and even scored a 7 hour boat tour to Tracy Arm, a 1 hr float plane tour of the ice fields, a whale watching tour, a fishing expedition and climbed some mountains. wonderful.
