I've been a "memeber" of this community since 2006, so I consider myself an OG of couchsurfing haha.
It's interesting to see how the platform has changed over the years. I hope to start hosting again, as I haven't done so in a long time...

a bit shy, but mostly a fun person, i think. i enjoy the small things in life. i also like to travel a lot. i like to cook. i do my best to live in the NOW, but it seems very hard some times.

full time computer geek at the moment, enjoying every kb of it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i like to treat my guests as well as i can, i know how much it means after a long journey. and if i surf your couch, i will probably bring a small gift :)
this i said to encourage people to host me :P
perhaps the gift of meeting someone nice is sufficient? hahaha, or maybe not

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

after over 10 amazing years using this website, I guess you can call me a seasoned couchsurfer. the truth is people make couchsurfing what they want it to be, and personally I like it close and personal.
what I mean is, I want to create true friendships, not one night friends (like in one night stands, but with friends, get it? terrible joke, never mind). so i prefere it if you stay for longer than 2 nights

however, the truth is that in todays world it has become so easy to travel and meet people, that it can be hard, if not impossible, to stay in touch with all the people that have an impact on your life.

Interesses

i'm very interested in what you do. also in playing games, having fun, getting to know small parts of local history, eating and cooking and the list just goes on forever...

There are many people who will say that they like and are curious about everything, however, one of my favourite quotes is "you can't choose what you're passionate about".

so although I can enjoy a lot of things, there are some that trully captivate me and I can't get bored doing them. these are watching movies, learning languages and eating something new. there might be more i haven't discovered but so far.
I found out I can spend countless hours on these things with no apparent reward :)

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

i like science fiction. i can't pick just a few movies out of the many i really enjoyed. i guess stanley kubric would be a favourite. i enjoy many kinds of music.

i like the work of wes anderson. my favourite movie was Whatever Works, now i don't have a favourite movie any more.

i read when i have time, and prefer classic literature. Dostoyevski's The Idiot is a book I enjoyed a lot.

my music tastes have always been extremly diverse, and i tend to enjoy the slightly unusal. used to be a metalhead as a teen, then I had my electronic music phase (went to love parade in germany), i have always enjoyed hiphop and rap, university years where dominated by indie and diy touring punk bands. today i try to explore kpop and mandarin indie, but the cultural barrier makes it really hard to discover new things.

the most amazing thing i can do is spend time in the company of good friends all night long, until a new day breaks, and when i finally reach my bed, I realise that the time spent was perfect and i actually feel good about myself.
