Hey there, my name is Ahd (Meaning "Promise" in arabic), I’m a 23 year old from Tunisia 🇹🇳 a small country in north Africa.

I’m a masters Marketing student with a strong background in leadership volunteering and associative work. I enjoy cultural exchange, thoughtful conversations, and learning from people with different perspectives.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As part of getting my masters degree in entrepreneurial marketing and digital innovation (MEID for short), I need to have an internship and then do my thesis.
I want the end of my academic journey to be special so instead of doing the internship at my home city in Sousse Tunisia, I chose to do it abroad.

I was lucky to get accepted at an international company in Curitiba, Brazil 🇧🇷
The internship starts in early March and currently I’m waiting for my new passport as soon as it gets ready I will be flying to São Paulo and spend some time there before moving south to Curitiba to start my internship.

When I ask about Brazil and what makes it special as a destination, the answer I always get is the PEOPLE so I’m looking forward to meeting new individuals, having close insights into Brazilian culture, and making new memories.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was president of a local branch of an international association called AIESEC, leading, inspiring and developing over 140 members between 18-25yo. Overseeing 10 different key areas including Finance, HR, Exchange, Business Development and even data management.

During my term (Feb 2025 - Jan 2026), we successfully facilitated exchange opportunities for over 300 young individuals. This included enabling international participants to experience cultural exchanges in Tunisia and providing local youth from our city the chance to engage in exchanges across various countries, such as Morocco, Türkiye, Romania, Egypt, Bahrain, Serbia, India, Japan, Germany...
