About Me

Im mellow but really sarcastic - my monotone voice doesn't help and often my jokes are interpreted as me being serious. Sometimes I'm a bit reserved- it always helps when the other person is more talkative as it gets me out of my shell. I'm never judgemental, we are all different and we may not all get along but it doesn't mean we can't have respect for each other's differences. oh and I'm always down for a good conversation.

I love anything related to story telling and I think everything and everyone has a story even if no one is aware it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coming from a city where I saw a lot of violent things happen to people, I always find a stranger's kindness to be the most amazing thing for me to experience. When I was younger, I used to runaway from home and go visit my boyfriend (of the time) who lived a couple hours away. The relationship was a really horrible relationship for any teenager to deal with- one of those situations where you give your all and in return you get shit thrown at you. There were many times, while on the bus to see him that I thought, "this ride is the only part I enjoy." On one of these rides, I met 3 people who had just gotten out of prison. They were so happy that they sang jolly songs whilst all the passengers gave them dirty looks. Though I am too shy to sing in public, I smiled and congratulated them on their freedom. They told me there stories. One had fell in love whilst in prison and couldn't wait for the day to see her partner again. The second had a wife and son waiting at home, he hoped to have a motorcycle shop in the future. The third, who was older, told me her story, her regrets, and how she wished she had not done it. She asked me what I wanted to do with my life and so I told her my dreams. She said to me, "do not do what I did! I want to be on the street and see you driving in a car that shows your success." I said, "if you do, I'll give you a ride." When we got to our destination, they bought me food with the little money they were given when being released from prison. I felt really bad but they insisted I eat with them. We chatted until my boyfriend came to pick me up. When I got in the car, I waved and shouted, "good bye!" and one of them said, "I better see you in a limo the next time I see you!"

I have a lot of horrible memories from that time in my life. The 3 prisoners were a glimmer of light for me. They were a sample of a life where I could be free and happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I could teach. Though, I always find swapping stories with people to be a learning experience.
