Overview
About Me
I was an International student in Missouri State University located in Springfield, Missouri. I am originally from Iraq but I lived my whole life in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (which is about 1.5 hours away from Dubai). Having recently graduated I am trying to travel and explore as much of the United States before I continue onto the next chapter of my life.
I am a firm believer in the Golden Rule and I strive to life my life treating people the way I want to be treated. I will go above and beyond to anybody that needs my help because helping change the world will require you to start small!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it would be an awesome way to meet people from all walks of life, especially the locals who are usually the best kind of tour guides. I am always trying to find an adventure, and being able to meet people who might have been in a similar situation before makes traveling much more easier. I believe in humanity and I feel as though I will get the experience of meeting so many wonderful humans through this!
Interests
Growing up in a very multi-cultural place like the UAE, where the expatriates outnumber the locals, I was fortunate enough to be able to meet people from all walks of life from all over of the world. Thanks to that, I have become very interested in the various cultures of the world. Especially local culture, whether it is within the United States or some where around the world, I am always interested to discovering what makes the certain city I am in unique.
I like watching all kinds of sports but I absolutely love playing rugby, I have met some life long friends and brothers from this sport. I enjoy coffee very much, too much sometimes and I always appreciate.l a good craft beer. I always try the local brews of whatever city I am in!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was fortunate enough to be able to live and visit countries that have some of the oldest history in the world, and I was able to explore some of those historical artifacts in Iraq and Syria.
However, one amazing memory that really sticks out to me is when I went and volunteered at SXSW in Austin, TX. I just decided the week before to apply to volunteer, got accepted, and then was fortunate to be able to stay at a friend of a friend's house there. It was the first solo road trip I ever taken and it made me fall in love with taking solo road trips, and ever since, I have done quite a few of them around the US.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am at a point in my life where I just wanna keep learning more from everyone and anyone, but that doesn't mean I'm not also able to teach but I'd much more rather learn from others, to be able to grow intellectually. However, If you need help learning Arabic or how to make Arabic food, I will be more than happy to help you out!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully I could share some good company, and be able to exchange good stories and experiences with whomever I get the good fortune of being able to stay with. I am also very excited to share my love of humanity with others CSers!
