- I discovered "couchsurfing" by a street musician, resident of Belgium, who was playing in my home town Ebeltoft (the Danish Riviera), invited him to stay at my place. He is a member of "couchsurfing and got me acquainted with the site.
- I think it is a good initiative to build bridges between people from different countries, learn from each other and share experiences of life.

- Being able to retire at age 40 and sailing singlehanded (45 foot cutter) in the Med - Africa - Caribbean - South America during 12 years.
- Singlehanding a 89 foot sailing yacht in the Caribbean,
- Managing to stand up against corruption (General Attorney Office and Criminal Courts) during 17 years in Venezuela and getting out of the country ALIVE.
