About Me

Hello everyone!

Greetings from the other side! Asalamou alaykom!
My name is Ahmed Bachouch, a 24-year-old freshly graduated SW engineer from Tunisia. The meaning of my name reflects my personality: Ahmed means to be grateful, and my family name signifies someone with a smiling face. I always strive to maintain a positive outlook 😁😅.

Describing oneself can be quite a challenge, but feedback from those who have crossed my path, including couchsurfers, family, and friends, often use phrases like "playful, kind, intelligent, friendly, pleasant, aware, conscious, risky, energetic, and optimistic" to portray me. However, I believe that such descriptions are subjective and vary depending on the beholder 😊. What matters most to me is good company and spending time with positive and curious individuals who think outside the box and seize every opportunity.

Personally, I consider myself sympathetic, creative, patient, naturally polite, adventurous, spiritual, and athletic. I enjoy spending time with friends and believe that as human beings, we are here to be good, help those in need, and support the weak. Love has always been the driving force behind staying positive and righteous until the end.

Confidence and calmness are my companions in most life situations. I am persistent, ambitious, and purposeful when it comes to pursuing my visions and ideas, especially in areas where I can make a difference and matter.

One of my biggest goals has been to step out of my comfort zone, which is why I find traveling to be the best way to reinvent myself. Four years ago, I had an incredible experience in Turkey where I helped young Turkish students enhance their English skills. Our group consisted of 30 participants from over 15 nationalities, creating a truly cross-cultural exchange of traditions, food, clothing, and dance. Through such experiences, we can explore the other side of the world, discovering different countries, cultures, beliefs, and, of course, making friends from all corners of the globe.

Additionally, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an international competition called the Shell Eco-Marathon in Toulouse, France, last year. This competition brought together engineering students from Europe and Africa to design and build prototypes of electric cars that consume the least amount of energy. Our team put forth our best efforts and were rewarded with the "Spirit of the Event" cup. It was a testament to our unwavering energy, teamwork, persistence, and dedication. Being recognized as the best team from Europe and Africa was truly a memorable achievement.

In the past, I was a national Taekwondo champion for a couple of years, but I also enjoy exploring various sports. Swimming, diving, football, volleyball, cycling, and freerunning are just a few of the activities I love. Backpacking, camping, and hiking are also high on my list of passions.

I bought a new phone with good camera that allows me to pursue one of my favorite hobbies: photography! I strive to capture the beauty that often goes unnoticed by most people.

Books are another love of mine, and I always carry them with me wherever I go.

I believe this gives you a good sense of who I am. I hope our paths cross in real life someday ❤.
