Hey! I’m Ahmed, a 30-year-old originally from Cairo, now living in Helsinki for the past 5 years. I work as a sales engineer in the wind energy industry — trying to keep the planet spinning in more ways than one.

I’m pretty easygoing and don’t take myself too seriously. I enjoy meaningful conversations with people from different backgrounds — it’s always interesting to hear how others see the world. Whether it’s a deep talk over coffee or just sharing random stories, I’m all in.

In my free time, I like singing, playing music, football (playing and watching!), and video games. If any of that sparks a common interest, we’ll probably get along just fine.

I joined Couchsurfing because I love the human side of travel — connecting with locals or fellow travelers makes any trip more memorable. I usually travel spontaneously, but I’ve also done more planned-out adventures, so I adapt pretty easily.

If you’re visiting Helsinki, I’m happy to give tips on cool spots to check out, where not to buy coffee (you’ll thank me), or just chat about anything as long as it’s not the weather (it’s always cold here in Helsinki). Always open to making new friends and sharing experiences!
