About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I graduated on January 2019 and I have free time until September so I want to fill this time with discovering myself and full of joy with travelling, meeting new people and cultures. I can't stop my social side and awareness and this always makes me thinking about how I can make a social impact in the world.

ABOUT ME

I see myself very outgoing and respectful. I like to talk about the things that I have heard of and for the other things I love listening. My permanent vision is an unending passion for learning. Right now, learning anything makes me crazy and I hope I will never lose this appetide.

I can't believe how lucky we are due to amazing cultures that the world has. This makes me feel super excited because the things that are waiting for to be discovered will never end.

Tennis, dancing, music, history&politics, traveling. If you ask me what I am mostly interested in, these 5 hobbies could perfectly describe me. I have spent a big amount of my life watching/playing tennis or reading history&politics. Roger Federer is one of the biggest inspirations of my life, if I feel demotivated, watching Australian Open Final in 2017 is the best option! On the other side, even though I am studying industrial engineering, social sides of life takes my attraction very much. I could spend hours with searching, reading or talking about history&politics. Honestly, this attribute of myself can be reason why I love travelling that much. Talking about history of a country in that country, with the locals of that country, while drinking local beer... OMG, what could be better?

I LOVE TALKING. Yes! It is the best way to getting know to each other, to learn, to teach, to share, and everything. I am Industrial Engineering Student at Bogazici University with and georgous view of Bosphorus where I believe one of the gratest points in Istanbul. I was an active ESTIEMer(It might be first for you, it is European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management.) For last two years, I was part of a social platform which is called 1 Youth 1 Future and we organized dozens of events for high school students basicly
aims students to gain competences of 21st century like creativity, innovation and interdiscipliner working.

I travelled in more than 20 countries in Europe with strong supports of Couchsurfers. I have been hosted and I have hosted many couchsurfers and I am super thanful to this organization.

I lived in Athens, Greece for 3 months last summer while completing my internship in a startup in renewable energy sector. Good old times.. I am in love with Greece and Greek culture which is actually very much similar to Turkish culture.

I listen Greek music more than an average Greek guy does :D

PHILOSOPHY

Have faith, dream big, think big, and know that anything is possible. You never know where you might end up!

The more that you read, the more things that you know.
The more that you learn, the more places that you'll go.
Dr. Seuss

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you want to discover a country deeply and fully, then you need to meet a lot of people from that country.
Then you can go in!
After meeting, if you spend time together for a while and talking each other and sharing cultures, experiences, personal life philosophies, and so on..
Then you are learning that country.
After a while, if you walk around the city, sit in a bar drinking local beer of the country, visiting old towns and mysterious streets together meanwhile YOU ARE HOSTED BY THAT AWESOME PERSON, thus...
You have one more awesome friend and got used to one more beautiful country,
ready to feel energy of every great moment that you will spend there...
And vice versa, I love hosting people. I can cook delicious meals, show some great parts of the city, meet with my friends, accompany to awesome night life of Istanbul.
