About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Well, right now I'm in Barcelona. So for now I think my mission is to just see as much as possible of every place that is accessible with a Schengen visa. That mainly entails spending some time in France, Italy, Germany, hopefully Greece...

ABOUT ME

They'd probably say "Ahh Amogh! Yeah I remember him!" I am remarkable. Not in the sense that I'm great. I'm just easy to remember. People would probably say they miss my bathroom singing with a lot of sarcasm. People might say that they miss my sarcasm.
But what I would say is that I have my dose of fun. I'm quick to befriend somebody, difficult to piss off, easy to talk with, difficult to forget and quick to forgive. I'm not the kind that goes to a party every night but I'm not the kind that sits at home all the time in front of my laptop filling out personal data on a social networking website either. Uh oh. :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch for people to crash on currently. I'm living under someone else's roof myself.
I'm planning to travel around spain and the rest of Iberia soon so hopefully I'll notch up some CS miles along the way!

Interests

I'm very good at self engaging. That being said I love to have people around me all the time. As I've said, I'm quick to befriend. People make me pass time. I simply love talking to people. I don't need a laptop, I don't need a phone, just give me one new person ever day and I can live happily forever.
I am also a voracious reader. I read like a nerd. I love fantasy. It's always more interesting than reality. I get really absorbed in my books.
I also love anything that makes me laugh. Comedy shows. Anything that can make me laugh and at the same time drive home a point, carry some meaning, immediately has my respect and affection. Which is why I loved FRIENDS so much.
Music is my constant companion. I listen to music all the time. As soon as I wake up, when I'm reading, when I'm studying. Even when I'm in the potty! Music does things to me that I can't even describe.
Oh and I love swimming. I love the water. Remember how they said we evolved from sea animals? Well then, I don't think I'm that evolved. I have a constant craving for the sea or a pool at the least.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

World invasion of social networking. I joined it in 2004 when my cousin suggested it to me. I didn't use it for 3 years after that. And before I knew it, people were putting up statuses every time they went to pee or when they went for a jog!
"Just took a crap. Whew, what a shit load!". That's not to say I don't like FB. I'm an avid user myself. I just don't like how people hate Facebook because some people use it to publicise their daily doldrums. That definitely did and does leave me awestruck.

Cutting my palms and feet in Mumbai. No, it's not what you think. I'm not a disturbed suicidal teenager. The Bandra beach in Mumbai is full of rocks and mollusc formation that are sharper than glass. I had no idea and I went barefoot. By the time I realized that my feet were bleeding, I was in too deep so I just decided to screw it and forge on. I went so deep that for the first time in my life, I was afraid of the sea. By the time I got back out, my hands and feet were cut up like I was a very bad butcher. But that was crazy, yeah.

Flew over the Tirupathi hills on the way back from Mumbai. Breathtaking view. I've climbed the Tirupathi hills a billion times and seeing it from a thousand feet up, I could actually see the lit up path that we take by foot. Breathtaking that was.

Annnd the trek up North Barcelona. We actually had a map of the entire city and we went to the northern most point on the map! 3km up hill and from there we could see everything. The mountains to the west, the sea to the south and east. It was beautiful.
