ABOUT ME
Welcome, dear guest, to my couchsurfing profile :-)
I know couchsurfing since travelling to Finland in winter 2007. Beginning with that trip, I became a big fan of Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Russia. That is one reason why I live in Estonia now. Besides, I am an admirer of cultures being proud of their distinctive traditions, defending them against the pressure of globalisation. That´s another reason why I am here in Estonia, and also why I lived in Bhutan some time ago.
Generally, I like nature, sports, trecking, am fascinated by weather and changing seasons. Travelling, best to not so touristy regions, is my passion. I like travelling independently or with a few friends - that´s the best way of exploring and meeting people. I love Europe for its diversity of cultures, and travelling here is always rewarding. I also like to go to Australia and New Zealand again somewhen for visiting old friends and, of course, hiking. Japan, Siberia, Padagonia, Greenland... some other dream destinations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first little experience in this kind of staying at some place was in 2007, as a friend of mine and me quite accidentely stayed one night with a hospitality-club-member in Helsinki. In September 2009 I surfed some couches in Sweden and Norway and I actively use couchsurfing since this time.
