Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm working on creating a magazine that features photographers and designers from all over the world.
ABOUT ME
Mellow and genuine with a positive attitude. I love analogue film photography, some design, spending time by the water, waiting for the sun to rise, the smell of old hard back books, and looking for meanings in unplanned situations.
PHILOSOPHY
To care.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch surfed in Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong and San Francisco before making SF my permanent home. My favorite place to surf was in Kyoto because although it was more of a suburb, it was nothing like the Japan you see on television and showed me an entirely new perspective on how a place is portrayed in the media and what it really looks like. In terms of this website, I'm totally new and would love to have more experience.
Back then, I wasn't aware of this amazing website, so I had to do it through other random contacts.
Interests
Photography is my number one interest. I could talk about it all day. I really enjoy where it takes me and how it pushes me to look at the world in detail. I currently work as a server at pier 39 in San Francisco to aid in my carefree lifestyle to shoot photographs and adventure as much as possible. I do really enjoy meeting travelers from all over the world and sharing stories and local spots I know about with them and vice versa. Currently I'm spending a lot of my time on personal projects like a magazine. It highlights artists and creatives of all mediums, presented with rad analogue photography and non censored interviews. I recently had my first major art show in Oakland and plan to put together another show after I return from Asia.
Around home, I'm working on a photo series, called "CITY SERIES". All photos are meant to portray the idea that the "inanimate" located in metropolitan areas are often more lively than the their creators.

Music, Movies, and Books
-Movies-
I'm kind of a film nerd when it comes to movies. I usually will see films based on director alone. Recent favorites: Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson, Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen, and Looper by Rian Johnson.
-Music-
Music is so hard. I've long since thrown away my music snobbery and now find something to like about anything. Within the last couple of years I've listened to a lot of Toro Y Moi, Chicago, Breakbot, RAC, The Cure, Phoenix, Mos Def, The Roots, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, The Black Keys, Miike Snow, Miami Horror, Washed out, Edward Sharpe & the magnetic zeroes, and the list goes on and on. I'm usually down to see whatever show anywhere.
-Books-
My book shelf is filled with photography books, fiction by Haruki Murakami, stuff by Frank Herbert, all sorts of zines, tons of reference books, more photography books, siddhartha, some classic books from the 20's on art and living, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've climbed onto rooftops all over San Francisco despite my fear of heights, took a one day trip to NYC just to say hi, hiked hours through the night to reach the top of Half Dome at sunrise, realized life is the greatest teacher, found the girl of my dreams, and cornered my passion.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach analogue photography, how to look at things in detail, indesign, how to swim, lightroom, ride a bike, run, jump, make friends, snowboard, and how to enjoy any situation including missing your train or falling down.
