As an educator, I work with students from many parts of the world, which is but one of the reasons why I enjoy gaining insights into life in other countries. Also, on numerous occasions, I have benefited from hospitality and would therefore be happy to return the favour.

I much enjoy running (10th position in the half-marathon race in my category at the European Championships for masters runners in 2017) and would be able to show some of the nice running routes in the Helsinki region. Also, I have a grand piano at home and am pretty decent at sightreading, would be willing to play four-handed sheet music with other pianists.

I live next to the biggest beach on the island Lauttasaari, some 4 km to the west from the city centre of Helsinki. There is a nice view from my balcony, and there is an excellent metro connection to the centre (about 8 minutes to the main railway station).
