Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
Explore Southeast Asia. Look at the wonders that this area has to offer. Knowing their histories, their cultures and traditions. Explore the life and enjoy the pleasure of meeting a variety of people, places, experiences.
ABOUT ME:
I´m Aida, from Madrid.
One of the questions that people ask me lately was: “What are you going to do when you finish your studies?” and my answer was “Living”. So after studying for seven years I decided to fulfill one of my dreams: travelling for four months. Therefore, I would like to see, smell, touch and hear the world with my own senses.
I consider human being is, by nature, incomplete. It means people need other people (socialization). For this reason, I love listen to other people, no matter the age or nationality, talk about their experiences and to know different points of view about how living the life. This means an cultural enrichment and personal growth.
I love to smile so I try to see the life from the positive side. I´m patient, calm, empathic, adaptable and I like to be on time. I prefer to wake up early and take advantage of the day. On the other hand, my own fears are my motivation to get out of my comfort zone. To overcome my obstacles make me gain more confidence in myself.
I don´t like to give my opinion about something that I have not done. Therefore, I´m openminded and open to new experiences. I like to try new things to know if something is good or bad for me.
I feel satisfied when I have achieved my goals. One of them is to travel to Egypt. I hope to go someday.
PHILOSOPHY:
1)Love what you do and do what you love.
2)Nothing is impossible if you really want to achieve something, you will need commitment, effort and motivation.
3)Here, now, at this moment. Enjoy every present moment.
4)First I´m trying to look for something wrong within me instead of blaming someone else.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept of sharing a place with different people. It´s a great chance to know local people and their culture and tradition inside. Getting different perspectives the way the people see the life.
Interests
I enjoy cooking and learning recipes from other people. And more important eating local food.
Sports. I love practice any kind of sport. So far I have played soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, volleyball, paddle, snowboard, longboard, handball, swimming, table tennis, squash, climbing, yoga, running, floorball and so on. I am not a good player but I like to try it all. The last time I was playing any sports continuously was two years ago. Right now I hardly ever practice these sports.
When I will be back from my travel I would like to practice again because I want to achieve another of me dreams: Ending one triathlon. Now it would not be possible I am not in shape. ;)
Climbing mountains, walking and get lost in the nature. Seeing sunrises and sunsets.
Dancing salsa, merengue, chachacha. My favourite dance is tango but I can´t dance it. But when I hear or see it I get goose pimples.
Travelling, crafts, art, history and photography.
I love cinema, theatre and musicals. I have seen one musical "Hoy no me puedo levantar" three times!!
Now I´m learning english, later I would like to learn german.
