Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think CS is a wonderful way to meet new people and give a little back to fellow humans. I strive to attain Ubuntu as I believe that "A person is a Person through others"; "I am because we are, therefor I am"; "No man is an island".

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most music genres, and specifically like old school rock: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple...
Movies? The list is rather long, but here's the top five: Donnnie Darko; Amelie; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Bladerunner; The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As a academic writer I love most book... Favorites are: Man's search for meaning (Victor Frankl); The Prophet (Kahlil Gibran); Sophie's World (Jostein?); Silence of the Lambs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've worked on an International project focusing on capacity building and disaster risk reduction in four African countries. It changed my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you how to cook a traditional South African dish, introduce you to Pinotage wine, and we can meet up with some locals around the braai. Additionally, I can show you around in Potchefstroom and the surrounding area, and recommend great excursions in the greater Johannesburg area.
I have a comfy couch and sometimes a bedroom available for fellow CS'ers. Free wifi and laundry included.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My humour, wise titbits, stories about Africa. Philosophical conversations about everything and nothing.
