I studied Computing Science at university and was a Software Engineer for 5 years. I'm currently studying a masters in UX Design in Brighton. I couchsurfed around Europe in summer 2017 - visiting Madrid, Toulouse, Carcassonne, Marseille, Eindhoven, Luxembourg, Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Bratislava!

In my spare time I keep fit by boxing at least twice a week, and I'm also a singer/songwriter in my band AIVIS. I'm also gay and single. I really enjoy meeting new people from different places, good conversation, and staying up late into the small hours laughing and drinking.

I like the novelty of meeting new people and seeing their city from their perspective. I like connecting with other people and I remember a place better after staying with a local.

Interesses

I keep fit by going boxing at least twice a week. I'm also a singer/songwriter in a band with a guy I met online. I've visited him in Ohio and he's visited me in Scotland, so that's been a really cool connection to have made.

I love comedies and dark science fiction. Charlie Brooker's work is fantastic - Black Mirror, Philomena Cunk and A Touch of Cloth are three of my favourite things on TV right now. I prefer a good TV series to films or books.

I recently flew to the USA to meet a friend I met online who I started a band with. We filmed a music video for our first single and released it on YouTube / Spotify / iTunes etc. (AIVIS - The Wilderness). Definitely one of the best experiences of my life!

I think I'm a pretty interesting dude to have around for a few days. I'm flexible and open-minded, so can be as involved as you like. Some hosts prefer their guests to do their own thing, whereas others like to spend a lot of time with their guests. I'm very happy either way.
