Hi there! I'm travelling across North America for two months, after receiving a travel grant from my college (Balliol, University of Oxford). I'm researching the history of American pool halls, but I'm also soaking up as much as I can as I travel. I love meeting new people, and am incredibly grateful that I've got the chance to meet so many on this journey (hopefully including you!)

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, I think everyone has a unique perspective on the world, and we can all become better people by understanding the perspectives of others. When I travel, I really enjoy the more authentic experience of meeting people from the place you are travelling to and seeing what their life is like, rather than just staying in a hotel or hostel.

I'm still finding out a lot about the things that I like and the things that interest me. I'm very open to new experiences and trying new things; unless you're constantly adding to your list of interests, you aren't living properly!

I can share above all my interest, humour and friendliness. I'd like to think that I could be a good partner for some interesting conversations; I like talking (and occasionally debating) about all sorts of topics, and love hearing different points of view.

On a more practical level, I pride myself on being a respectful guest, and will do my bit to help with cooking, washing, and whatever other housework that needs doing.
