Hello, I am from Canada and work as a Geologist. I like pastries and looking at amazing pictures. I like driving my car, but prefer my bicycle, and still even prefer just walking. I'm not great on computers, but i like try anyways. My worst enemy is mosquitoes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well im couching surfing mainly to have a cheap way to travel around and stay in beautiful places. But I especially like couch surfing because i like to learn the secret tricks of the local people when im traveling :P

Interests

As I geologist, I am obliged to love rocks, or my life would be a disaster. But i also enjoy playing sports, especially outdoor sports, eating good food and socializing with drinks and board games. As well as participating in waky projects that people come up with. Also, I have an obsession with hot springs..

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is electro-swing music, in fact I realized recently that seems to be pretty much all i listen to... Otherwise, my favorite movie is Snatch, by Guy Ritchie. My favorite books are short stories, especially by Roald Dahl!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I drove from Dawson City in Yukon, Canada (North West corner) to Montreal in Quebec, Canada (South East corner) in 4 days with some friends. We drove just over 7000km, pretty much non-stop, in a Toyota Camery 1987. For europeans, that would be like driving from Paris to Jerusalem.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course I would love to teach you anything about geology, since it is my passion. I am also keen on discovering/teaching/learning more languages because languages and a smile are the passport to the world. My girlfriend is slowly teaching me how to play the Djembe and Violin, so i'd love share in a little jam session.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest in your home, and country, I will share my energy and enthusiasm about being in a foreign place with you. I promise to make whatever it is you like doing, much more exciting, just because it will be new to me and I always enjoying trying new things. But more on the physical side, I would be more then happy to buy and make some delicious food, especially some Canadian specialties.
