Overview
About Me
Hello. My name is Aidas, I am originally from Europe - Lithuania.
* Solo Travel
* Non-Drinker (but don't mind if you are)
* Non-smoker
* Health conscious
* Very open-minded and positive individual with sprinkles of humor and endless curiosity. :)
After so many years being stuck in an office I've got an opportunity to work ONLINE. That allows me to be location independent. 😍 I do online sales.
At the end of 2016 I took a flight ✈️ to South East Asia and been working and slowly exploring Malaysia and Indonesia.
Lived 9 months in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)
Lived 9 months in Indonesia (Mainly Yogyakarta)
Previously lived 2 Years in United Kingdom (London)
In Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur I rented 2 bedroom apartment for myself and because apartment was too big for me alone and too expensive I substituted part of apartment cost by hosting people on AIRBNB.COM.
So even if I do not have a lot of reviews and experience here on CS, I hosted close to 30 groups on AIRBNB.COM so I know what things might annoy hosts and I am sure I will not be one of those terrible guest. 😅 I've got Superhost status on airbnb.
Check out my airbnb.com profile.

I expect you will try to be the best host and I will try to be your pleasant CS experience you tell your friends about 😉
I registered on Couchsurfing quite a while ago, but did not use CS until now. On August of 2017 attended CS event in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, met many interesting people and decided to blow the dust of my old CS account, update profile and become more active 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope that couchsurfing will help me to do more exploring as sometimes I work a lot. Hope to make few new friends also 😊
The best way to explore new country is with local person. 😊
I ❤️:
Learning about new cultures (especially differences)
Learning about local people stereotypes of life in Europe and my culture :)
I find myself very easy to have connection with people whom I can learn from or teach something to them.
The most exciting people are those who have passion or obsession about something. Does not matter if it is vine label collecting, skyscrapers, dancing, cooking or movies.
Interests
Listening to loads of podcasts and audiobooks.
My favorite podcast are Tim Ferriss Show, Hardcore History, Travel like a Boss.
I love learning new things and experimenting with my life.
Few experiments I did:
* 7 days of water fasting (no food just water)
* Slept of the floor instead of mattress for a year
* Tried Polyphasic sleep
* Tried Keto diet (eating mainly fat). This diet is still my main diet to this day
* Read 55 books in 55 days
I am trying to stay fit. Usually doing resistance training. But due to travel sometimes my training fluctuates from non existent to regular 3 times a week in the gym ;) Due to that my weight also have jo-jo effect ;(
I am quite calm person, but also enjoy dancing out in the club if I have a chance.
I danced traditional Lithuanian dances, Salsa, Bachiata, Lindy Hop. Lindy hop was my favorite. ;)
Some people call me extrovert, some introvert. Very logical and rational person but not dry and cold.
I am always bouncing between INTP - INTJ - ENTP - ENTJ if you are more interested in my personality :))
I can easily go to the club and go crazy on the dance floor (even without drinking) or just chill at night outside in quite place, look at the sky and discuss how aliens from other planets would look like and why I think they would be nothing like we see them in the movies.
I have a big interest in human behavior, psychology, relationships dynamics.
Kinda a tech geek. If you are interested in new gadgets or some new interesting scientific discoveries, lets talk about it.
I absolutely love video games. Mainly story based single player games like;
Final Fantasy series
Silent Hill series
Deus ex series
Metro series
S.T.A.L.K.E.R series
or tactical games like XCOM series
Once I've played Metal Gear Solid V all week for 100hours ;D But sometimes it happens that I don't touch any video games for half a year. If you love video games I bet we will have long interesting discussion about video games history, likes and dislikes ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love movies and documentaries.
My favorite movies are:
* The Matrix
* Fight Club
* American Beauty
* 300
* District 9
To be honest I don't listen to music a lot. Listening to audiobooks or podcasts pretty much takes out all my "listening" time :))
But my favorite bands/musicians are:
Michael Jackson
Linkin Park
Daft Punk
Noisia
Trouble Over Tokyo
I enjoy books about:
psychology
human nature
human behavior
sexuality
science
history and many other topics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far the most amazing thing I've done is living, traveling long term in Asia. Currently this is the best time of my life. It was a challenge to come here and try to settle in while not knowing anyone but I am very happy I've done it as I already have few good friends.
Another thing which happened while staying in Malaysia. I've spend Hari Raya in Kelantan state village with local family while on one of the days wearing baju melayu ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to stay fit:
* Want to hear my stories how I loose weight, or gain muscle easily? I can give you some tips. Just ask.
