A travelers number one goal is to get off the beaten path of tourists and to have a memorable experience. I’m couchsurfing because locals know where the most unique memories can be made. And it’s cool because both traveler and local get to share that.

On New Year’s Day I jumped into one of the canals in Amsterdam and shortly after an off duty cop told my group to get lost or we’d get in trouble.
