About Me

**I am traveling for the next year (possibly longer) and am unable to meet anyone in Boston, but feel free to message me if you want advice, I love to talk about my city :)**

I’m currently living in Alexandria, Egypt and I really want to meet new people/improve my Arabic!! Message me if you wanna hang out. ☺️

Hey! My name is Aiesha, I’m 22 and i just graduated from college. I really suck at writing these sections. I’m easy going and relaxed, but also a thrill seeker and love high energy people. I’m very open minded and I love the unknown, love learning new things from people around the world. :) I’m not in Boston very often these days but I love my city and am happy to give you some tips if you’re visiting! ❤️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just graduated college and I’ll be traveling for at least 1 year, mostly in Egypt for a fellowship. I am simultaneously thrilled and intimidated by the instability that comes with living abroad, but one of the most exciting aspects is connecting with souls of all different compositions. It's important to me, as a researcher, a historian, and an activist, that I experience to the best of my ability the wide range of perspectives and lifestyles that exist on this planet. In traveling, I've been so fortunate to come into contact with so many beautiful individuals who have helped me see the world and my place in it a bit clearer. I hope to continue that trend.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite artists right now are Mac Miller and Chance the Rapper, but I also really love Nahko and Medicine for the People (EVERYONE needs to listen to them seriously) Bob Dylan, Tupac, Elton John, Blink-182, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon's solo stuff obviously, Wiz Khalifa, David Bowie, Wale, The Strokes, etc etc. That list is kind of all over the place and that accurately sums up my music taste. I don't even know where to begin with books but the most life-changing thing I've ever read was probably The Autobiography of Malcolm X.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept under the stars in the Sahara Desert

Teach, Learn, Share

I am both an open book and a sponge, I will share everything with you and graciously accept all that you share with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will help you with anything! Cooking, cleaning, even grocery shopping or other errands haha. I'm one of those odd people that genuinely enjoys washing dishes. I also really love baking things, and it's been a while since I've had the opportunity so chances are I will try to make cookies or cupcakes or something. I taught English in Tunisia, and I'm really fascinated by languages so I would be happy to practice with you as well, or teach you some words in Arabic, which is in my opinion one of the most beautiful languages. :)
