To read strangers like books. To crawl into another's skin and see out of their eyes. To make sure that my roommate doesn't have us host serial rapists.

ABOUT ME

I teach, do, eat, breathe and sleep hairstyling.

I go to church in a bar. [An actual christian church in an actual bar that serves alcohol...and I'm agnostic and don't drink.]

I'm seriously involved with mental health volunteering.

I'm never without a bar of chocolate.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the purpose of life is to love and to learn.
Connection is everything to me. That's why I love teaching so much. It's the purest form of communication. Not only does someone have to listen to you, they have to process and regurgitate the information in their own way. Disconnection and miscommunication is apparent and whittled down until the two or more of you are on the same page...in the same place...in the same moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never [yet]. I have woken up to many a complete stranger passed out on my couch...confused in my half asleep state, I usually pee and go back to bed. [Pee in the bathroom, not on the stranger].
