About Me
Hello!
My name is Ailan and I enjoy nature and trying new things.
I like to travel and backpacking, slacklining, surfing, being in nature, drawing, and above all making new experiences. I try to always learn something new with an open mind.
I moved out of my parents home when I truned 18 and started walking, and did the Camino de Santiago. After that and before my studies began I backpacked and hitchhiked across Europe, mostly sleeping in a hammoc wherever i could find a spot, both in the woods and in city parks.
I will soon finish my studies as an aircraft mechanic in the south of Germany, and I try to make short trips whenever possible
I'm also currently renovating a Dodge Ram B250 Van from 1992 into a camper/adventure van, which I plan to live in and travel with after i finish my studies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like the idea of living with the local people of the places I visit.
It opens the door to a new world that as a 'normal' tourist you don't get to know, an authentic view into the life of whoever I'm visiting, at the place I'm visiting.
It's also a great way to meet new people and make friendships anywhere in the world, or also just have a good time and then go separate ways, because not all things are meant to last..
I am a sociable, open minded and curious person, and I would love to do activities together, cook, visit the places of interest of the hosts, or simply share a quiet moment and talk about any subject.
