About Me
CURRENT GOAL: Improving my Spanish in order to save the world! :-)
Hello there~
I'm now 20 years old and come from Paderborn in Germany.
What shall I say, I'm ridiculously small (just to warn you) and I can get absolutely crazy when I feel super comfortable. :D
*I'm in Paderborn right now and will be moving to study in september!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I never liked staying in holiday homes or hotels. If I go to a place, it's mostly on my own and I do it to actually get to know it and its people. Couchsurfing is not only the cheapest way, but also the way to get most out of it (for both parties). It's just the way for me to travel although I'm anxious as heck. :)
*Places I still want to see:
Amazon rainforest, Bialowieza forest, Nicaragua, Buenos Aires, La Gomera, Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary, Trys Parseliai, Tibet, Turkey, India

Music, Movies, and Books
*music: My favourite artists are Twenty One Pilots, Our Last Night, Sum 41 and many more. so mostly emo/alternative/punk/pop/hardstyle, it can be a funny mix. I've also got Elvis Presley and Tschaikowsky in my collection :))
*movies: I don't watch movies a lot, but my favourite genres are drama, fantasy, science-fiction and comedy. I'm always down for Disney movies too! And my favourite musical is the Rocky Horror Picture Show
*books: My favourite book of all time is "Watership Down" by Richard Adams. But my collection mostly consists of nonfiction as I always want to teach myself about nutrition, animals, languages and ways of travelling. It's a mess. I always appreciate books in different languages, they're a perfect challenge!
I'm not really a big fan of fiction as it sometimes triggers anxiety (so weird) but it's fine to watch a movie together!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are so many things I've done that I'm really proud of. I think what's most important though is that I somehow managed to find my Turkish family through a Facebook page. The part of my family that I grew up with had no contact with them and now my mum's regularly seeing her sister again and I managed to see my grandpa for the first time. It's an incredibly interesting family and I hope to be able to go to Turkey one day.
And please let me tell you about how I met a lot of friends from a very international WhatsApp group for the first time when we all met up in Spain. Valencia effect is still active!
Teach, Learn, Share
As I'm a huge language nerd, I'm always happy to spend time with a surfer/host that knows one of the languages I'm learning.
These are the ones I am or have been working at, in order of strength:
- English (fluent)
- French (C1)
- Swedish (B2)
- Spanish (A2)
- Turkish (A1)
- Japanese (A1-ish)
- Russian (just started)
_____don't mind these (yet):_____
- Italian
- Czech
- Finnish
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think what I can share most with hosts is my love for deep conversations with a beer and a profound interest in... well, everything. I also like to cook or try new restaurants (new and very expensive hobby of mine). I also find the language part very important, I love to learn new words and phrases in any language and can also help with German (or English if necessary).
