CURRENT MISSION

Quit my job in July 2011 because I was sick of the politics and figured travelling the world would be much more exciting, and so far it certainly is.

ABOUT ME

I am a "mature" person, but I don't think or act like most people in my group. I love to travel and want to continue travelling/backpacking, for some time into the future. I have been to a number of countries in my travels and I love meeting people and experiencing new cultures. I hope to continue travelling and by teaching English or volunteering where possible.

You only have one life so live it. Treat people as you want to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just signed up but hope to meet people via couch surfing and get to see the world from a locals perspective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since signing up I have stayed with on person in Lima and had two other surfers meet and show (myself and a friend) around. All of these experiences have been fantastic and I would recommend couchsurfing to others.

Interests

I love to travel, meet local people and when possible volunteer in places I go to. I love music of most genres and am currently trying to learn Spanish.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch a lot of TV but like going to the movies. I don't read much, other than on the internet and for researching information, but have read a few good books over the last 5 years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done many amazing things, but I would say doing a parachute jump from 10,000 feet was an incredible thing. My daughter bought this for me as a present for my birthday 8 years ago.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to continue to learn Spanish and hope to be able to communicate in Spanish sooner than later. I also hope to be able to assist others in learning English in return.
