Hi! I'm Ailsa. I live in Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia, but I'm originally from Edinburgh, Scotland. I love travelling and meeting new people is an important part of that, which is why I'm here :)

I've been living and working in Vancouver for the past 3.5 years as a product manager at Microsoft, and am very excited to be moving to Berlin at the end of the summer.

Right now I'm trying to make the most of my summer doing as much camping and hiking as possible. I'm also a keen runner, and enjoy reading and making art. I've painted a couple of murals and an outdoor piano in Vancouver.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best travel experiences have always been those where I've known someone in the place, and can experience a city/town as they do. I love meeting new people :)

I read a lot of fiction. I really enjoyed The Power by Naomi Alderman recently, and I love anything by Dave Eggers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed Mount Kenya last year! But moving to Vancouver and living somewhere brand new where I didn't know anyone is actually the experience that has been the most amazing to me.
