Overview
About Me
Fun loving, friendly and polite gal who wants to travel all over the shop! I am super clean and organised too :) Born in the UK to Chinese parents and grew up in Dublin so no stranger to a bit of buzz.
I am traveling around Asia from 1st September to 1st December and am really excited to meet new friends. I also understand giving someone space when they want it, and am happy to explore independently!
I completed study for my degree in Fashion Design at the National College of Art and Design. I consider myself a creative person with a love for music, art and film.
With a love for aerial hoop and pole sports, I am quite motivated and like to be on the go! I also want to get in touch with my spirituality and would love to visit some temples or be around nature.
Note: I would absolutely love to have people stay over at mine but unfortunately am staying with my parents now while I try save up for my own travels. Bit of a sticky situation!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really want to remove the impersonal aspect to staying in hotels and want to be right in the middle of it all with locals. Eager to meet new friends and have exciting experiences while traveling. Locals obviously know best, I'm not going to find out where the cheapest, best place to eat or shop is from a Lonely Planet post!

Music, Movies, and Books
Where do I begin! I have worked in music shops since I was basically a tween. My music taste varies so much...from Boards of Canada and Radiohead to Flying Lotus and Underground Resistance. I would literally listen to tonnes of music from genres like rock, hip hop, house, techno, jazz, funk, soul...the list just goes on.
I love weird and wonderful movies, also movies with interesting concepts and beautiful cinematography. Huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki / Studio Ghibli films. Love a bit of David Lynch aswell. I was recently watching some Asian horror films, 'The Wailing' and 'Noroi the Curse' and thoroughly enjoyed those :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I set up an event called Sew for Repeal which raised money for Abortion Rights Campaign. I am an advocate of women's rights. In Ireland, we have a huge human rights violation where women have no access to abortion in majority of circumstances.
I taught people how to sew their own custom feminist inspired patches and pieces. Organising this and ensuring that everything ran smoothly was a huge task to undertake but I did it and people enjoyed themselves. It was great seeing everyone's fantastic designs after the event.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am fluent in English so there would be alot of benefit to those of you who don't have English as your first language! I also have skills in fashion design and sewing so would happily show you how to do simple hand sewing. It is a very valuable skill which I believe alot of people would gain alot out of! Last but not least, I can share the Irish way of life and laughter too!
