Hi y'all!

It's wild to be back on couchsurfing. I used this website and felt like part of the community about 8 years ago, and at that time I couch surfed in Montreal and Boston. Life got busy and traveling got tabled. I'm getting to a point in life where I want to make traveling happen again. And I might even be able to make hosting happen soon. It's great. In the next few months I'll be travel nursing, which means working as an RN in 9-13 week jobs around the country. The plan is to be in fun cities and do some exploring. I'd be glad to give back, and host anyone traveling through during that time!

I have a hard time with "About Me's" but cliffnotes about me are: I work with women in labor - It's intense, and incredibly rewarding, and messy, and a lot of responsibility. It's an honor to be part of an experience that's profound, at the thick of life, and do it daily. Before I got into this business I wanted to be an environmental scientist. I still feel passionate about environmental conservation, though at present I'm in a fallow period in terms of taking action. Talk to me about sustainable agriculture or your involvement, and I will respect you tons and listen raptly :)

All this business sounds more serious than I really am :) Those who know me, know me to be silly and always up for anything that sounds like a good idea :). Life is short. Experience what you dream about! This said, I am way more of a doer than a talker. Ask me about an actor/tv show/recent political blunder and you will likely receive a blank look.

Random interests include yoga, running, hiking, mountains, natural beauty far and wide, rock climbing, the beatles, Mark Bitman's recipes, a good concert, the magic of the unexpected and (duh) time with the people I love and that inspire me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people in new places, and see their homes through their eyes. And to help people passing through my parts of the world do the same.

Books. I just read Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari, and want to read Wild...
