About Me

22. Graduate of Creative Writing and English Literature. Nature lover. Book nerd. Museum addict. Art enthusiastic and a big fan of folk music. Vegetarian. Love God. English Language Teacher. Aspiring writer (currently working on my first novel.) Traveler, thinker, dreamer. Find me in the woods or by the sea.

Open minded. I love meeting new people of different backgrounds and beliefs. Very easy-going and chilled out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience a country through it's people. As someone who loves to write, I am very interested in people; their experiences and stories truly fascinate me. I want to meet kindred spirits, artists, writers, musicians.

Interests

Although I am a very social person and am interested in the world around me, I am greatly interested in the idea of solitude. I work my final thesis on being alone and am continuing to study and look at this concept of isolation in my writing. I've recently got into wild camping which is such a wonderful way to disconnect to connect.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of Irish literature and poetry. My favourite author is called Jennifer Johnston. I adore the Bronte sisters and Virgina Woolf. I adore poetry and drama. I always have classical music on in the background but music but love sitting around an open fire in a pub, listening to a local folk band.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning to love myself, hiked around Iceland, mini road trips around Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

Poetry, literature and maybe a few Irish recipes and a bit of good old Irish slang. I also love cooking so I could make us a feast! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Perhaps the most valuable thing I can share is my experiences. I think this is very important as it connects with people. I would also love to help hosts with the English language and inspire them to write and connect to themselves. Also, I have a teaching diploma in drama so perhaps we could have a dramatic evening together over a glass of red wine!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In
