About Me

I am an archaeologist with an emphasis in European history. I've traveled around a bit of Europe. My family comes from the Nordic region and I still have some relatives there. I am always trying to learn new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had mostly good experiences with hostels and they are great place to meet people from all over the world. But having a local person is always better to understand the area. Plus it saves a bit money and for students that always great.

Interests

Being and archaeologist I am very interested in history. One of my favorite things to do is visit the museums in the area. I also love book. I know you're not suppose to buy books while traveling , because they are heavy and bulky.
My home state is well know for beer so I love trying local beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, except country music. Sorry can't stand it. I like to read history books, and fantasy books. Like Harry Potter and the Bartimaeus Trilogy. A good mystery is always nice too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've don't know what I've done that would be considered "amazing". Things I've done seem amazing to some and mundane to others. I've traveled a lot but, I've haven't seen many other continents. In my archaeological work I've found some cool stuff. But for other archaeologist, its not that exciting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a degree in anthropology and history and I always can teach that. My language skills are not the best and I am always trying to improve them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a card game that I always take with me when I travel, called Cards Against Humanity. It's like Apples to Apples but adult. It good for a large or medium group of people.
