About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to eat my way around the world :P
ABOUT ME
I'm from Leeds, UK and previously lived in Hong Kong for 2 years and Tokyo for 3 months. Now in Manchester. I study Japanese like crazy & do burlesque & jazz singing in my spare time and love dancing, singing, eating, meeting people and learning as much as possible about the world around me. I love FOOOD - dinner is a major consideration every day. I like travelling with friends but recently have got more into heading off alone. Learning languages is so interesting and frustrating and exciting, I always pick up a few words wherever I go, then promptly forget them all.
I have a weird sense of humour. It's quite British and uniquely Aimee. If I can make someone laugh it really makes me happy, which is why I enjoyed clowning around with the kids I taught in Hong Kong.
I love to find the weird and wonderful stuff about places I go, I'd rather have a random and ridiculous experience in a new country than see the famous sights. My favourite thing to do in Hong Kong was going to rock shows in random warehouses, I'd love to explore the music scene in all different places.
I'm always happy to help people with travel advice in Hong Kong, Japan or England! Just message me!
PHILOSOPHY
I'll search the world until I find myself.

Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I worked as an English teacher for a few years, and even though I'm not doing it anymore I am always happy to talk to people about languages and help others improve their English, especially if they can chat to me a bit in Japanese, Cantonese, German or French in return. I love languages. I also love performing burlesque, and am looking for performance opportunities wherever I go. And if you don't really know what burlesque is.... then I'm ALWAYS happy to talk about it!
