About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Coming up with an escape plan.

ABOUT ME

I've moved and traveled quite a bit and plan do so more in the next few years. I'm a low-key, chill person with a sense of humor and a great deal of curiousity. I like asking questions, I read a lot and watch a lot of movies and recently television. I can cook really well and love learning new recipes and styles. I'm also a future cat lady.

PHILOSOPHY

Acknowledge it and move on. Words of wisdom from my first screenwriting teacher about seeing signs while walking around New York on mescaline.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two experiences come to mind (warning these are somewhat lame stories):

The first time I surfed was with a friend in Berlin, it was a great experience, we stayed with some very nice guys who told us a lot about the city and showed us around.

The second was when my now ex-boyfriend hosted this French guy named Marc in NYC and because my ex was being lame that night I took Marc out to a bar. To make conversation, since Marc liked going to concerts and music festivals, I pretended to know this band that I'd read was playing in Brooklyn soon. He got all excited and soon I committed myself and my ex to go see them. We went to the concert with Marc (it was Gogol Bordello) and it was really good. We became close friends with Marc, then he started becoming friends with my friends, and he'd surf with us whenever he came to NYC and he would eat peanut butter and play Risk with us. I did not tell him that I had no idea who the band was until a year after knowing him.

Interests

Cooking is my big thing right now, as is trying new kinds of food. I'm also an avid reader of books and articles and blogs. I watch movies but I am now intrigued by television (first time I've had cable in six years) in particular 30 Rock, Bizarre Food with Andrew Zimmern, No Reservations, and House.
