About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work on a recreational fishing monitoring project in Menorca and enjoy small trips that hopefully inspire me for the next stage of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoying as much as I can day by day :) appreciating the people that surrounds me and the new opportunities that each day are given to us, new little adventures and things to discover!

Exchange, share and return favors to people or places (nature), a little step maybe cannot change anything in a world scale but for sure is gonna change your behaviour and this can make the others think about their own acts and change them! It's all a chain, someone have to start!

ABOUT ME

My name is Aina Blanco and I'm a 27 years old girl who grow up in Menorca (Spain), a little and wonderful island in the Mediterranean Sea. I'm sociable, easygoing, observative, talkative and happy person!

I graduated in the degree of environmental sciences and a few years later I continued my studies in Tenerife where I did a master's degree in marine biology. I am also very interested combining natural and social sciences in the future and maybe study something related to social development.

I've been focusing on my studies and my work for a few years and I'm at a point where I'd like to enjoy traveling again. I lived in Valdivia (Chile) during my univerity exchange and after I went to Bundoran (Irland) to work in a hostel as a workaway project. Then I travelled by bike with two friends around Greece, Italia, south of France and going to Barcelona. All of them incredible trips from which I learned a lot and have made me who I am.

I think that traveling is more than just visiting a city or a country for a few days, you have to stay there and discover the history, legends, people and culture of that place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cs is a good way to learn and travel in a different way, sharing and meeting the place you visit with another perspective, trough the vision of the local people.
Helping people and been helped without asking anything in return it's beautiful. Of course I feel that this exchange come with something much more important than the money; comes with talks, perspectives, adventures, thoughts, points of view, good meals, smiles and friends.

Interests

I love the sea, the nature and photography (I really would like to become better on that!).
I really like taking for a long time of such different topics and then go back to understand how we got to one point completely different to the one we started!

I enjoy doing a lot of different sports as climbing, diving, cycling, sailing, volleyball, badminton and so on.
