About Me
"If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you"
Hi Couchsurfers!
My name is Ainara Domínguez, I'm 20 years old and I’m from Astorga, which is a city in the north of Spain. I have a little sister who is six years old younger than me. I study at the university in a small city named Soria but I am currently doing an Erasmus in Lyon (France). I decided to study Translation and Interpreting almost two years ago and I don’t regret it. My life has changed a lot since I’ve begun university as it has helped me to broaden my horizons and meet incredible people.
I would say that I'm a really open-minded person, talkative and patient. I like reading (I'm really curious and I'm always looking for learning new things), listening to music, doing meditation, arts and crafts, learning new languages and so on. I've discovered not a long time ago that I have a passion, which is dancing and realizing it has changed the way I live every day and how I deal with stuff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing in October 2018 because I was looking for a new challenge that I've always wanted to do but I haven't had the courage until then: traveling alone. And I did it!!!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to learn about a culture through music.
Now I'm really keen on French artists as I'm living in Lyon. Zaz is my favorite one (I love jazz although I don't know so much about it). I also love Spanish rock (la Fuga, Fito y Fitipaldis, etc) English hip-hop, dancehall and(sometimes) rap.
I like reading articles about how to be a better burglar (joking) and watching thrillers, scary films (not the Zombie ones), meditation videos, etc. I don't usually fall asleep while watching films but I do end popcorn before it starts, sorry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm sure I've done something good as now I'm a better version of me (I just don't have a good memory)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a little Spanish, how to do a real tortilla de patatas or the basics of Salsa and Bachata dancings ;)
I'd like to listen to people talking about their passion, adventures, and things that changed them so, if you have a story, I'd be glad to hear about it (as my list of them is currently growing).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can give you a hand to clean your house, my company to see a marathon in Netflix or just a little talk with a Spanish who won't be talking just about partying (although is a good subject).
