ABOUT ME

I Left home nearly 3 years ago (home being lovely Ireland) and have not looked back. I have been living in Australia for most of it (trying to get the money for traveling), but taking lots and lots of trips all around Asia and Australia in the meantime.
I am now in New Zealand and meeting lots of new challenges in this beautiful country.

I love travel (like most people on here), and meeting people with good stories to tell whether they be real or imaginary. Like most Irish I love a good joke, and having the craic. Laughing and trying to find the funny side of everything is fundamental to me and to enjoying life :)

Since leaving home, I have had the opportunity to host many people, and also enjoyed surfing too. I have met some great, strange, interesting, crazy people and hope I can continue to do so :)

I have surfed in both Australia and New Zealand and never had a bad experience!!

兴趣

I have many interests, and I find so many things interesting so I am not sure I can hone them all down.
Firstly Music is an essential part of everyday life. I play a bit of guitar and love an 'ol sing-song now and then at parties. I thrive in spaces of live music, whatever that type of music maybe, if its live, then I usually enjoy it!
I have an interest in art, photography and architecture, admiring all the beautiful things...
I like writing, reading, cycling,
Being a geography teacher, I love getting out there and seeing all the great geographic evidence like walking moutains, rivers, glaciers etc..

Books: The Dubliners, The tesseract, Time travlers wife, Middlesex, white tiger, Life of pi...the list is too long ( I am an English lit graduate so I've read a lot of books )

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Two of the most amazing things I've done is first the great barrier reef in Australia, which just blew me away!Having a small fear of the sea, this was breathtaking experience!
Second climbing the hot and active volcanoes in Latin America and getting to see study brought to real life!

I generally learn from people who are older and wiser but who don't necessarily 'act their age' I find those people inspiring! I learn from those with a positive outlook on everything and embrace all kinds of people. I really like people who don't spend their time talking about other people, and talk about ideas and tell stories instead!
