About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find new friends in Bristol

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old, and have a daughter who is 5. Most of the time we come as a package - where I go, she goes. We are originally from the UK, but now live in the little Piemontese town of Bra, in Northern Italy.

I am a student of gastronomy at Slow Food's University of gastronomic sciences www.unisg.it/eng, and also help to coordinate the Youth Food Movement, www.youthfoodmovement.org, an international project to connect young people involved in food activism all over the world.

I love eating, cooking, and drinking. I love experiencing new things, music, travel, climbing mountains, dancing in the rain.

The thing I love the most about my life is the inspirational people I have met. I'm an adventurer and believe that life is for living.

The thing I wish I had more of is time. Although I get that it's not really about having more time, but about making wiser choices about how I spend it!

Randomly...
I once had a dog called Ernie
I love only walking in the squares
I wish I was brave enough to sing more in public
and my favourite colour is crimson red

I believe in the potential of humanity to be truly amazing

PHILOSOPHY

Live the change that you want to see in the world, stand up for what you believe in, and keep on moving forwards. We only get one life, and it's for living!

Remember to relax, not to try and change it, fix it or make it better.

Everything is just as it should be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am totally new to this, but am hugely appreciative of anything that helps build relationships, facilitates travel, and connects international communities.

I can open my sofa bed to anyone wanting to come and experience the University, Slow Food, or just the great food and vineyards of Northern Italy.

I'd like to meet other couchsurfers in the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been a rave-baby. Danced on the main-stage at Glastonbury (age7). Been published in a poetry book. GIven birth. Moved on my own to a small town in Italy with a small child. Drunk champagne in a thermal spa, in the snow looking out over Mont Blanc. Experienced Terra Madre. Connected people. Jumped into the ice-cold sea at the bottom of the garden. Been brave. Seen the cows being milked in the mountains at day-break. Made Cheese with a beautiful philosopher. Learnt to love myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything to do with food. The way we eat connects us to the planet, to communities, to each other. I'm totally happy to cook, eat, share, exchange with anybody who is interested.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United States
