I'm a university trained primary school teacher and love working with young people. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Often the best places and people can't be found in a guidebook. I'm about to embark on a long term backpacking trip and would love to meet people who are living locally in the countries that I am to visit, who can share places with me that I wouldn't otherwise hear about. For me, this is a guaranteed way of having an authentic and memorable experience.

Movies: Anything and everything. Foreign films, dramas, comedies, low budget, high budget. I love them all!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years ago I lived in Western Samoa (a tiny island in the South Pacific close to Fiji) for a year. I taught at a primary school there and lived with two friends (one old friend and one new). We experienced paradise and poverty everyday. It is something that I will always remember.
