About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Moving to Portland, Maine for a new job!
ABOUT ME
I enjoy being outside and lead a simple lifestyle. Whenever possible I like to get around by bicycle or by foot and in general I prefer to go the slower and more scenic routes. I've worked as a bike mechanic, a baker (sourdough), and I've worked on a handful of farms. My jobs have mostly been seasonal, but I'm looking forward to settling into a new city right now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've benefited from the couch-surfing network formally (through this site) and informally a number of times. I have used couch surfing as a guest while I was traveling overseas and I've hosted a few times when I lived in Minnesota (although I didn't have my own account then). Once I settle into a place of my own I hope to return the generosity by hosting someone who needs a place to stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only just started to network though an official account, but I've used a similar site (warmshowers.org) that caters to bicycle tourists quite a bit. I look forward to meeting more people!
Interests
I enjoy cooking large meals for friends and family and walking, biking, running, and any physical work outside.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked up a mountain to over 14,000 feet in the Himalayas.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you've got a problem with your bike, I can help you fix it and figure it out. If you are a gluten-eater and enjoy sourdough, we could bake a loaf together. I have taught community classes that focus on both of these things and I enjoy sharing information.
I'd really like to learn to speak Spanish.
