About Me

An introvert adrenaline junkie. Appears like a 3D, but (wait for it) acts like a 4D.

A dreamer.

Dictum: Cogito Ergo Sum.

I love beer (my holy grail), icecream (my second holy grail), museums, swing, wonderful memories, roadtrips, the joy of discovery, getting lost in new places, the rawness of mother nature, daydreaming, the sky, sunset, snuggles, beautiful souls, and snow.

My current end goal is to die an old lady in Alaska surrounded by amazing glaciers where my three adorbs huskies play while I watch Aurora Borealis (this may vary after two years.)

Always up for a new experience. A Geronimo by heart. However, if I had to choose between adventure vs nightlife(talking about parties), I'd prefer living and experiencing life in the new city while traveling than partying all night and at the brink of dying the next day and having Alzheimer's about why I travel in the first place.

I don't have qualms when it comes to food, I'd eat anything, I had eaten worms and other crawlers and hoppers on my previous travels...and, we have weird delicacies back home, so yeah hit me up with anything. I have the appetite of a wolf (although I take time eating my meals as I like to savor and relish their flavors,) don’t panic tho as this Joey does share food...

Omnivore, but I generally love animals (not for eating) Although travel has made me commit tourist mistakes on wild animals in the past and it has exposed me to the cruel consumerism of tourism in the expense of these creatures lives, I learned a lot from that. It has opened my eyes, wide, on the reality of animal exploitation. It’s heartbreaking, and I deeply regret having a part of that. It’s an ethical dilemma. I have pets, one is with me in my current home right now, his name is Candy(he's not gay, don't judge) the sweetest mammoth ever! And I will not let anyone harm them, just for a perfect photo op...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess we are all here because of our love for traveling. I, on most times, travel solo and have a penchant for hotels, but traveling alone can either make or break your vacation. Don't get me wrong, I love the total independence given by being your own person, the gift of solitude, of having to own the whole situation, place, and experience all to yourself. But sometimes, you can't help but yearn for the presence of some company to share the actual joy you are experiencing at that moment, hence the cliché but touché saying "No man is an island." A good friend told me that I should try CS. I'm looking forward to find friends here who could spare me their time in our quest to explore the unbeaten path (or touristy, I don't have qualms, as long as it tickles our adventure side.) In return, I can guarantee a good quality adventure-filled time spent, aaand a lifetime supply of smiley messages😊😊😊 I also host (if time permits) fellow couchsurfers to where I’m currently at or at my home country. It’s a good feeling to be able to give back to the community, it doesn’t matter if they give me references or not in the end. Important thing is I get to share stories and great experiences with the amazing people who I may or may not meet again. It made me realized that there are still a lot of good people in this world, it’s all about how you treat them or believe in them.

Interests

Travel, music, arts, theatre, philosophy, geography, demographics, geopolitics, guns and ammos, extreme sports or anything that scares the hell out of me, horticulture, photography, medical field, chasing history, beer, snowboarding, Africa

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My genre taste is a bit eclectic, but basically I'm a classical and country music junkie. I guess they are on opposite poles but I love listening to them (Time and time again I say Beethoven is a god, and Blake is the love of my life.) Same goes with indie and alternative rock, soul music, Hozier and OneRepublic (last two can't be boxed up to genres, that's how amazing they are.) Movies: Anything that has something to do with history (Saving Private Ryan, Assassin’s Creed, Hellen of Troy and the like) coz I'm a sucker to that, but I wouldn't mind watching chick flicks. Actually, my faves are The Notebook, Ghost, Gone With the Wind (yeah IKR female=sappy) Books: My favorites are The Art of War, Sherlock Holmes, and Pride and Prejudice. I have a wide variety of taste when it comes to what I read, I guess if I find it interesting I'll crack it till the end, even if it means sitting down with it until dawn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saving lives (on a city level like Batman, not yet on a global scale, like Jesus)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm still entertaining the thought if I can crash at somebody's couch (Edit: Year 2018 the stars aligned, I did try it once and it’s an amazing experience, but I don’t intend to do it again.) but I can in the future offer my humble abode both abroad and back home, just ask. I can share some skills... "I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightma... " Ok I'll stop here now, it's from the movie Taken, it just came to mind😁, I hope I didn't scare you off.😇 Anyway... I can cook(yay!) and am very organized, I actually have a mild case (self diagnosed and guaranteed harmless to anybody) of OCD so you wont be having problems with me messing up the place, promise. I can be a great company, I can tell you amazing stories about my travels, introduce you our culture, and you will be super safe with me as I don't bite (unless told to do so) and know basic life support (I've developed a muscle for CPRs) and more.😊
