First thing I'd say about me: I love sport and outdoor activities. I'm from Italy (and love food consequently) but I live in Australia at the moment. I like..doing something..but also hanging out, relaxing, exploring, visiting..
I'm a "thinking" person. I have a lot on my mind, good things, bad things, doubts, feelings, excitement, fear..whatever.
I love travelling of course, especially by bike. If I had to chose I'd prefer to travel outdoor "in the wild" and not from city to city. I guess I'd go somewhere in the mountains.

A year and a half ago I moved to Australia, in Canberra, for my PhD. Recently I moved to Sydney to get a bit more of a city life and possibly trying the many things you could do here, surfing and climbing for example.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't remember when I was introduced to couchSurfing. A few years ago I travelled across Italy by bike and had my first CS experience. It was cool but the best had to come...
When I moved to Australia I find a big CS community and a lot of friends through local meeting and other people connected by CS.
I'm on CS cause I love the idea. It's really really cool and I love the fact that..it works. Well also. It's like an incredible thing an opportunity simplified to the best, the most fun and pure form. These words probably sounded better in my head.

I cannot host at the moment. I moved to a new place in Sydney and we're still buying the furniture. There's not even a couch really.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a lot of different things. Probably I used to listen to hard rock when I was a teenager and I still like it. But since then a lot of other styles interested me. I have a lot of different periods.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Alps and Dolomites. Sicily (such a warm land). Death valley, Bryce and Grand Canyon in the US.
Norway and its fjords.
Being a scout for 16 years.
A shared house hosting 7-8 couchsurfers all together any time of the year.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well..I definitely can teach some math, basket or guitar. I don't know who is interested in the first though.
I'd like to learn a lot of things. A new language and new cooking recipes, especially asian ones
