ABOUT ME
I feel uncomfortable about this. Mostly because I've always been a little bit shy, but I can describe what I have done so far :) so here my biography: since I was a child I was attracted by botany and ancient things. I have had the luck to grew up in Rome where I used to live surrounded by the Mediterranean landscape's delicate ecosystem and ancient roman monuments, which evoke fascinating pictures to a watchful observer. As a consequence, I chose to enroll at the Faculty of Earth Sciences in Rome: I felt I had to deepen my understanding of the nature of things. I started to study palaeontology. In the meanwhile I'd been working in a pub in the downtown, basically I loved it: study dusty past fossils during the day and living real life in the evening!
After I graduated I moved to Ferrara where I studied for the master in Prehistoric Sciences, I used to share a flat with other students and we have always cooked for all. We had an open door policy, always a spare place to sleep and enjoy making new friends at any opportunity.
After my master I decided to move abroad because I thought that living far from my own country would have been the best way to understand different cultures and I have only one chance to live, so I moved to London where I lived for one year.
Recently I have had the great luck to be involved in a project as a PhD student dealing within the palaeoenvironmental reconstruction of Sulawesi and Sumatra in Indonesia. So here I am, my new hometown Goettingen, my new work place the Department of Palynology and climatic dynamics, my new passion Indonesia!
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to use couchsurfing everytime I travel. I think it's a great opportunity for people like me who really love to share when moving to different places around the World. When at home (currently Göttingen) I'm always open to meet or host new people in need for a chat, couch or cooking session!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was inspired to join after hearing positive stories from my flatmates. So far I have had great experiences as the philosophy behind the community perfectly fits my idea of traveling.
