Overview
About Me
Hellooo! My name is Aislinn, I am an Irish student just after finishing my year abroad studying in Paris. My boyfriend is called Séamas and he is 21 like me. He lives and studies architecture in Ireland and he is half French, half Irish. The two of us love meeting new people, sharing experiences with them and exchanging stories with others as we are both incredibly friendly and chatty people! I would say we have the same enthusiasm and zest for life but tragically we have been apart during my Erasmus year abroad here in Paris, so when we do get to spend time together, we like to go on adventures and make the most of life! Séamas is fluent in both English and French and so this has allowed us to make more friends on our adventures as we can communicate with Francophones too.
We had known each other for 8 years before we finally became a couple so we have lots of lost time to make up for and I certainly like to think that we make a good couple! We want to travel as much as we can, meeting as many interesting people as possible and hopefully making lifelong friends along the way - we want to take everyone on our journey!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I want to travel as much as possible but we also want to meet great people who can share some of their wisdom and experiences with us. We are both 21 and so we know we have a lot to gain from listening to others and sharing experiences with other people which is why we want to use Couchsurfing - what better way to meet new people?!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: a big mix! Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, Pink Floyd, Tom Misch, Leif Vollebekk, Arcade Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hans Zimmer, The Black Keys, Tame Impala, Fleetwood Mac, Iron & Wine, Foals, Hozier, Mac DeMarco, Arctic Monkeys, Ben Howard... really any jazz and blues too ... Séamas' music taste isn't as good as mine but I'm educating him ;) ;)
Movies: my boyfriend especially loves movies! Anything Christopher Nolan, Gladiator, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Imitation Game, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, What We Do in the Shadows, The Talented Mister Ripley, Pulp Fiction, Leon: The Professional, The Princess Bride, Heat...
Books: I like a lot of non-fiction, particularly about adventures, anthropology and the environment. e.g. The Push by Tommy Caldwell, The Unconquered by Scott Wallace, The Secret Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Unfortunately we haven't had the opportunity to have too many crazy experiences together yet, although we did go swimming in the Irish Sea back in January when it was about 4 degrees Celsius... it was quite the wake up call!
I hitchhiked to the Mercantour National Park last summer and hiked hut-to-hut for a number of days in the Alps which was a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and see stunning landscapes.
Séamas was an Irish competitive gymnast and placed 3rd in his division on Rings!
Teach, Learn, Share
I play piano and like to share music.
Séamas studies architecture and likes to talk about architecture and history.
We both have some fun adventure stories that we love to share with people over a drink so if you have any tales from your travels, we would love to hear them!
We would love to learn some languages and we like to get a sense of the lifestyle in everywhere that we visit. We also love to cook with others!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Many stories from our travels, lots of conversation and interesting debates, music and movie recommendations. We love to share food and wine with anybody who is willing to sit with us!
I am teaching Séamas a piano Star Wars duet so if you like music and laughing, this performance is not to be missed ;)
