Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get paid to play around with old objects and connect people with the past.
ABOUT ME
I do historical research for artists and make artifact reproductions at the National Museum of American Jewish History. I moved to Philadelphia a little over a year ago and I love how it feels big and small at the same time. I grew up in NC making forts in the woods and watching my sleepy hometown turn into a tiny city.
I like to bike across states. I'm a good penpal. I'm learning how to play the banjo.
PHILOSOPHY
Be really good to people, be yourself, help other people be themselves. Try to live with earth and humanity's future in mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I spread the word and battle skepticism about Couch Surfing. Surf, and when my residence permit, host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with people all around the USA and in France and Hungary. It goes way beyond crashing on someone's floor.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Lives of Others, Harold and Maude, any movies with Bill Murray or Patricia Clarkson.
Almost anything if it is live music! Sufian Stevens, Chuck Barry, Joanna Newsome, Of Montreal, Ray Charles. Pretty much any indie rock, traditional folk music, or big band jazz.
Neal Stephenson, Salman Rushdie, Ivo Andric, Lawrence Weschler
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on a fossilized ocean, hardly marked by signage, in the middle of a silent dessert somewhere in Arizona, with dinosaur tracks crisscrossing the ground in every direction.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can sew pretty well, with or without a pattern. I can cook a few delicious things and a few more decent things.
I'd like to learn languages.
