Overview
About Me
I'm a Science and Physics teacher, trying very hard to travel (when budget permits) every school holiday. We have a month long school holiday in December and 2 weeks in June. I've backpacked to several countries with my friends, and did a solo trip once last January. No plan to stop travelling yet although I've always said to my friends 'this is gonna be the last one', and nope, still travelling.
I love how travel REALLY open one's mind, meeting new people widen perspective and how different life is at the other side of the earth although the land is just divided by borders. People, food, places, natures always amaze me. And SNOW!
I love to learn new things, learn new language, eat local food as I travel and engage with the locals during my trip. That is why I love live musics and markets.
I don't know how it's like with other female solo travellers, spoken and exchange tips with some during my trips, which are very useful. Would love to hear more tips from female solo traveller, as I'm new in this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new on Couchsurfing and trying to find hosts for my next travel trip to London, Istanbul, Cappadocia, Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia. I love to hear travel stories, exchange travel ideas and meet new people. I'm braving myself to do a solo trip again this time, and I wish to find couchsurfers to hang out with during my trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly local Malay musics, I love easy playful music, everything by Mindy Gledhill, I don't know what genre is that, Yuna and Zee Avi. I love Indonesian songs and movies, watched 500 days of summer a lot of time, and now my favourite is Me Before you. Love love love Hindustani movies and songs too although I don't know the meaning of the lyrics.
For books, I love everything by Khaled Hosseini, now reading a book titled 'Wild' by Cheryl Strayed and this book gets me motivated to do a solo trip again. My favourite is 'The time traveller's wife', I love when the writer combine the science and love elements and blend them so perfectly in this book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo trip to Kasmir, India. The best so far! Kashmir was so beautiful, especially Phahalgam, it was like I'm in a black and white studio with the snow hanging on the pine trees. Truly magical!
Sleep under the sky at Thar Dessert in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India, it's the border between India and Pakistan. An awesome experience to be sleeping under the dark sky, away from technologies, just me and my friends, the camels and camel guides (and two dogs).
Hiked up Poon Hill in Annapurna, and witnessed the sunrise on top of Poon Hill, it was so beautiful, I did not know that sunrise is so RED!!. And also seen the wide Himalayan range for the first time, so wide more than the eyes can see!
Survived a 67 hours train ride from Kashgar to Guangzhou in China, sleep eat, take pictures, read, sleep and repeat. Still awesome experience though.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share about my culture, and information about south east Asia. I've been living in Malaysia all my life, and travelled across it, nothing compares as living here. The food, the people. We don't have much, yes, but I think it's enough to keep us going.
