About Me

My name is Aitor, originally from Spain, but have lived in NZ for 6 years, fluent in English and 20 years of age. lived in Northland and Auckland for the past 6 years and back in Europe to see places, meet new people and create experiences.

Loving it so far :) Travelling as a backpacker throughout hostels and couchsurfing to get the best of both worlds, in autumn which is an unnusual and cold time of the year but it's great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it is just such an amazing way of travelling, hostels are brilliant, but the idea of couchsurging is beyond that, you get a tru vibe of local experiences!!

I met this lovely couple from New Foundland region (Canada) in the Northland region of New Zealand hosting all sorts of people, living a great life of abundance, and my mum reminded me of them and we decided it was a much better idea than to venture into a backpackers, as you get the true local experience, besides if you go to backpackers, or a hostel, you don't really savour the real culture of the locals, and you are just living similar to back how you would in your home town.

Interests

Fitness, football, basketball, meeting new places and new people, talking about life, relationships, goals, travelling, stories, pretty much connecting with other people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Ska, alternative rock, modern and classic pop, just about anything really :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can speak one of the oldest languages in the world still spoken!! Basque!

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything and everything, I can teach some Spanish as well :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook you a potato omelet or a Spanish omelet you will be amazed!!
My great experience of transition from Spain to NZ, and tell them about the ancient Basque culture (one of the oldest surviving in Europe) I originated from. Share lots of laughs, a few drinks and a loving and caring attitude.
