About Me

Hello friends from other sides of the world,

I am an university student in Hong Kong and I am studying in Accounting and Finance. I am a talkative, easygoing and open-minded girl.(my foreign friend always say I am the most open-minded person they have ever meet :-p) .As a saying goes, “Travel makes a wise man better.” Traveling across a multi-cultural world is the path to understand the complexity and the beauty of human civilization. I really believe that experiencing different cultures is a great way to better understand other people’s way of life which will eventually be of help to my growth as a student and as a human being. Through interactions with different people, I can know more about different countries ,different cultures or different thinkings. They are all so inspiring for me. The World always is too big and i am so small so I would like to know more and explore more. Since I am still a students who doesn't have strong financial ability to travel to many countries by myself, I would like to meet different people all over the world in Hong Kong and introduce this beautiful city to all of you!

And in the last summer, i got a really valuable chance to exchange in Norway so I can have some visits in Europe beforehand. Europe always is my dream place to visit since its architecture, its people, its culture... I went to Italy ,Germany and Czech republic .

In this coming Winter, i will be on my journey again. I will go to Czech republic ,this beautiful country again, to have some culture exchange activities and culture visits. I really hope to have coachsuring which can allow me to live like a local in different places and share my thinkings and cultures to the host at the same time. It will be so meaningful and fun!:-P

Best Regards,
Aiyana from Hong Kong

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As above mentioned, I like meeting different people and trying different things. But I met foreign people via different organizations such as my school before and couchsurfing is a really strange new things to Hong Kong people. The house in HK is so small so it is impossible to have a big sofa in the living room and they think it is a strange idea to invite strange people to live in their home. But when i first heard about the meeting up function onCouchsurfing few months ago, I really fall in love with the ideas which can meet people in your place instead of really hosting people. Since I am living in hall in university , it is impossible to host but it would be nice to meet.

Besides, I went to Romania to be a marketing intern last winter. I made friends with lots of locals and hanged out with them and I think it is an extremely amazing experience. It is because as a normal tourist, you will only go to some well known spots instead of really being a local, really living in that environment and really understanding the culture. So I join couchsurfing in order to offer a local experience to people all over the word and hope that one day when i travel to other places, i can also be offered a local experience. :-P

Interests

Nearly everything :-p
It is because i like exploring so I like to have all kinds of experiences.
But my hobbies are drawing, listening others' stories, visiting different places for yummy food and studying( I know it is quite strange to love study but i feel so satisficed after i learn new things ). I also love to play with kids and doing voluntary works.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like R&B songs and my favorite singers is the local singer in HK.
My favorite songs for this year must be Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud. I can hear it ten times per day. My favorite movies is Wall-E. It is a touching movie and so inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before I went to romania, my plane had a stop in Moscow for 15 hours. I remember the temperate of Moscow there was -20C and it was snowing outsides. This was my first trip outsides Asia and my first time to see snow. I determined to go Red square in the Moscow. I just took my luggage and went on the train to the city. Although I successfully went to red square and surprisingly visited the Christmas market there. But it was extremely cold for me ( the lowest temperature in HK is 10C only) and I was shaking my hand when I was taking selfie. The worst was that I took the opposite direction of the train and went to the wrong airport at last. I discovered this silly mistake just 4 hours before my plane and then I just randomly went on a cab. Finally i can catch the flight but It was the longest night in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Chinese to you guys and I will take my henna pen with me during the travel . So I can help you to make a henna for you.(a traditional temperate tattoo from India) . I want to learn some culture or basic words in your countries (eg. Hello and Thank you) Saying Hello and Thank you in the local language where i am placed in always is the way to receive a big smile from the local people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides, I will share all my experience and stories with you if you like :-D I can cook some Chinese food if you really want to try !
