Sobre mí

25 year old Navy submarine Veteran, traveling as much of the world as I can! If I am home you are most likely welcome to stay with me!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am wanting to meet as many people as possible, and gain the most experiences people always dream of having. I am awaiting college to become a Chiropractor and have a background in Sports Medicine. In the U.S. Navy I was stationed on board a Submarine where I did 3 deployments. When I traveled with the navy every country I visited was a new adventure and humbled me.

Música, películas y libros

Travis is often on my playlist, however I do love American country music and hip hop. I treat music as art and tend to enjoy all types of it. My favorite book is the secret, and favorite movie of all time is "O brother where art thou" next to "pitch perfect" and "green street hooligans"

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have traveled many places in Asia, but when I landed in the Phillipines I was actually part of the community. I built a homeless shelter with my other brothers and sisters in less than a week. I taught an English class for 2 days, I played soccer against some of the most talented kids I've ever met. I observed the way of life there and made many life long friends that I still communicate with today.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

As a veteran I do have a sense of leadership, for example, upon my coming back to Minnesota I contacted an old coach/teacher of mine and told him I would be interested in assisting him this season. He coaches lacrosse. In a matter of 2 days he had contacted me and told me that he needed me elsewhere, I arrived to a field to a practice and much to my surprise I had an entire team waiting for me. I had never worked with kids this young, most were 12-14. I had never coached my own team, I had never even assisted a team! As the weeks went on I learned more and more about myself and my team. I became part of the team but still held the respect of the players. We ended up taking 4th place in the state! I was thrilled. After we completed I was promoted to the next age group up, I had 1 week to learn all I can about each kids learning style and technique and it must have paid off. 1st place in state.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share my stories, my photos, my dreams and aspirations. Also I'll most likely pick up a case of beer to share and laugh with.
